Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year Award 2018

Last year’s winner in this category was the Pharmacy department at St Vincent’s University Hospital. Head of pharmacy Paul Tighe said: “The team and I are delighted. For the team, and the busy year we have had and the hard work they have put in, it’s a nice way to cap the year and it’s very much a team effort.”

There are many key elements to building a productive team including communication and cooperation. Good communication means everyone is aware of their own responsibilities and what the team’s goals are whilst cooperation leads to increased productivity.

A team which excels is the one who work together to improve their efforts. They comprehend the importance of ongoing improvements and how this helps to support the overall objectives of the department.
